Biography
I started my adventure into computers when I got my Commdore 64 when I was 9 years old. I have to say it was love at first sight, and I will never forget my first encounters with BASIC. Later on I upgraded my Commordore 64 to Amiga, and I even had an Atari for a while. When I was 16 years old I started with PC's - an 486 DX 33 Mhz with 4 MB RAM and a 120MB harddrive (yeah, I almost typed GB). A wonderful computer running MSDOS 5.0.
As a Amiga owner I also got an modem, and I started to use BBSes(Bulletin Board Systems). I will never forget the sound of my modem, and how I felt when I connected to those systems. (*dreaming*)
For the last 14 years I been focusing on Microsoft technology. Before that I even worked with Novell Netware and Lantastic networks. My focus on Microsoft technology is mainly infrastrucutre, but I like to develop programs in my spare time (hmm...wonder, when is my spare time?). My main focus is infrastrucutre architecture and design, and identity and security has been my main passions.
Since 1996 I have been a trainer, and became an MCT in 2002. I love to deliver training classes around the world. When I get the opportunity I also love to attend at conferences, often as an Ask-The-Experts. Sometimes I even get to speak at the conferences, and I just love that. I even try to make conferences and happenings in Norway - I enjoy connection people and talking with people.
You usually find me at MTUG user group meetings in Norway. I am also very often at Technet Live - very often as a presenter.
Interests
As the geek I am technology and gadgets is ofcourse an important hobby and interest. But I also love taking photos, travel and recently also started scuba diving. I also try to spend as much time as possible with my two daughters.
